ZCAT-T50 is a new modified organic zinc catalyst which aims at the defect that the strength increase slowly after the gelation when use common organic zinc.

ZCAT-T50 is a widely applicable catalyst for general purpose. It is widely used in TDI,MDI,HDI,IPDI and other aromatic or aliphatic polyurethane systems. It is recommended to be used in polyurethane CASE fields, such as elastomer,2-components sealant,adhesive,paint, etc. It especially applies to the polyurethane systems which needs curing at room temperature or medium temperature. It can shorten the drying time on room temperature to save construction time, and will prolong the flowing time on medium temperature and shorten the demoulding time to improve production efficiency. It is specially recommended for polyurethane soft products (< 60A) formula, which can significantly improve the shortcomings of the surface sticking point, and achieve soft and non stick products, such as soft heel, gel, electronic potting adhesive, etc.
Features & Advantages:
Compared with ordinary organic zinc, the unique characteristics are following:
◢ It’s catalytic efficiency is twice as high as the ordinary organic zinc,and it can be sued as main catalyst by itself. AS we all know, the ordinary organic zinc is often used as auxiliary catalyst for it’s activity is too low. ZCAT-T50 is allowed for use alone because of it’s high activity, especially be applied to the two components polyurethane formulas which need longer flow time and faster post curing after gelation at room temperature.
◢ It is a catalyst special for post curing, which significantly reduces the formation time, demoulding time and drying time. If needs higher catalytic activity, it can mix with organic bismuth at ratio 1:4, which can shorten the post curing time by 30%-50%.
◢ It can significantly improve the adhesion of soft PU surface with low hardness and increase the dryness, due to the more complete reaction caused by the high catalytic activity of ZCAT-T50.
◢ No bubbles occur. It doesn’t accelerate the reaction of -NCO with H2O, so it can prevent the reaction from producing CO2. Compared with ordinary organic zinc, ZCAT-T50 can effectively avoid the phenomenon of multi bubbles, cracking, bulging, peeling and so on.
◢ More environmentally friendly, with feeble smell, without VOC. ZCAT-T50 is applied to produce household items.
● It is recommended to be added into polyol components (material P), preferably after vacuum degassing, and stir evenly. It is not recommended to add into the components of ISO (Material I) due to the risk of gelation. If necessary, be sure to conduct suitability test first.
● The dosage is related to factors such as formula and process. The general dosage is 0.05 ~ 0.5% of the weight of polyol components (material P).
● After use, the tank mouth must be sealed immediately.
● The environmental protection depends on the specific application of the final product. It is recommended that the user should be based on the third-party test results of the environmental protection regulations applicable to the final product.
Handling & Storage:
Exposure to atmosphere should be avoided. Please store in a cool, dry environment away from sunlight and excessive heat.

Shelf Life: The unopened shelf life is 24 months from the date of manufacture. After expiration, it can still be used as usual if qualified by inspection.
