Features & Advantages:

AUCAT series catalysts are developed for the disadvantage that ordinary organometallic catalysts gradually fail in systems containing trace water, acid and alkali and cannot be stored stably for a long time. AUCAT-1001E has the following characteristics:

  • Environmental protection: it does not contain tin, ensuring that it meets the stringent requirements of environmental protection regulations. Organotin, as a catalyst, has always occupied a leading position in the polyurethane industry, but its toxicity and harm to the environment have attracted extensive attention. In recent years, many environmental protection regulations have strictly restricted organotin, which is virtually banned. It is no longer suitable for market development and demand, and most enterprises have already started its elimination and substitution.

  • Anti-hydrolysis stability: it can be premixed and be added into the aqueous formula system in advance, and the catalytic activity is stable without attenuation after long-term storage. It solves the technical problem of hydrolysis failure of ordinary organic bismuth tin and other metal catalysts in aqueous formula, and the formula and process are simpler, more stable and more flexible.

  • High compatibility: highly miscible with polycaprolactone, polyadipate alcohol ester, polycarbonate and other types of polyester polyols and polyether polyols, without turbidity, stratification and affecting transparency. At present, it is known that environmental friendly organic bismuth and other catalysts, even if 0.05% of the amount of polyester polyol is added, will immediately make the material from transparent to turbid, will be layered when standing, resulting in uneven distribution in materials and large fluctuation of catalytic activity, which greatly affects the stability of production process.

  • Non foaming: The targeted catalytic characteristic of directionally catalyzing the reaction of - NCO and - OH but not the reaction of trace water with isocyanate can avoid CO2 bubbles generated by chemical reaction. This characteristic is the biggest feature different from ordinary bismuth / tin / amine catalysts, and solves the problems of bubbles, bulging, pitting and peeling on the surface of non foaming elastomer products.

  • High activity and strongly promotes gel reaction: It is used as a strong gel catalyst for the polyurethane foam to promote foam curing, and can replace organotin gel catalyst T-12 which is strictly restricted for environmental protection.

 

User's Guide:

  • It is used for PU resin synthesis. It can be added at any stage of the synthesis process according to needs. It can be added at one time in the early stage of the reaction or step by step in the reaction process to control the reaction speed.

  • The general dosage is 0.02 ~ 0.1% of the weight of PU resin.

  • For two-component polyurethane, it can be pre mixed into polyol components, and its catalytic activity will not fail after long-term storage. Generally, the addition amount is 0.1-0.5% of the weight of polyol components.

  • Normally, the packaging container must be kept closed, and the opening of the container shall be sealed immediately after taking it.

 

Handling & Storage: Please store in a cool, dry environment away from sunlight and rain. 

 

Package: 25kg/200kg in HDPE drum

 

Shelf Life: Unopened shelf life 18 months from the date of manufacture. If test that the catalytic activity is not attenuated after shelf life, it can still be used as qualified product.
